BIO

My work as a photojournalist brought me to Hong Kong at the end of 1995 after four and-a-half-years living & working in Bangkok, Thailand & before that in Israel, where I am from. Hong Kong has been my home away from home since arriving here to cover the handover of the former British colony to Chinese rule.

Prior to moving to Bangkok & Hong Kong I studied photography at Hadassah College, Jerusalem & then spent over 20 years working as a photojournalist for The Associated Press news agency.

As a press photographer I covered a diverse range of stories such as violent conflict, protests & demonstrations, politics, economic stories, sports, the arts, religion, natural & man-made disasters & the opening up of countries like Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia & China, I had the opportunity to travel to numerous countries, witness & document some truly memorable events & places as well as meet some major global movers & shakers.

During a year spent in London in 2005, I have attended an advanced Photoshop course. Since then I am working on my own projects, utilising my photography & photo-editing skills in a more personal & subjective way in an attempt to create unusual & highly original digitally enhanced photographic imagery as well as continuing with more documentary style imagery which takes me back to my photojournalistic roots.

These days I work on commissioned art projects with corporate as well as private clients & have contributed to: an art collection commissioned by the Bank of China Hong Kong, an office & commercial complex in Shanghai, a private club in Shanghai, a Hong Kong fine dining restaurant & collaborated with interior designers & art consultants to create art for hotels & private residences. My work has also been exhibited in galleries, art fairs & by a number of organisations in Hong Kong.
